Dentist in River Forest, IL

John G. Hartmann, D.D.S.
Dr. Hartmann received his Bachelors degree with highest honors from Elmhurst College majoring in Biology. From there he went to dental school at Loyola University and graduated in 1980.

He received additional training in a general practice residency program also at Loyola Medical Center. This program provided advanced training in the fields of oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, pediatric dentistry as well as anesthesiology and treating medically and mentally compromised patients. He has also had experience treating geriatric patients and was the attending dentist at several nursing homes.

Dr. Hartmann has been in private practice at the same location in River Forest since 1981.

Dr. Hartmann has a wife and three grown children. His interests include fishing, hunting, boating and scuba diving and enjoys all forms of outdoor activities.

 

Jill Baskin, DDS
Dr. Baskin received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Iowa in biochemistry. She attended the University of Illinois Dental School and completed a general practice residency at the University of Illinois Hospital.

She taught part time in the University of Illinois Dental School Periodontics Department for 17 years. She has been in private practice in the western suburbs since 1984. Since 2000, she has been the Dental Director at the Oak Park-River Forest Infant Welfare Clinic where she works two days a week.

Dr. Baskin is married and has three college age children. She has lived in River Forest since 1986.

 

Gina Piccioni, D.M.D.
Dr. Gina received her Bachelors degree from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, majoring in Biology/Pre-Med as a Walton Scholar. She attended the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1990.

She then was accepted to and completed the General Practice Residency program offered at the University of Colorado's Health and Science Center in Denver, Colorado. This program focused on hospital dentistry and included training in oral surgery, anesthesiology, pediatric dentistry, trauma and emergency dentistry.

In April 2007 Dr. Gina joined jour practice expanding our hours of operation to 6 days per week. Her emphasis is on preventive care and patient education with a focus on the complete overall health of all patients.

 

Christine M Tavolacci, R.D.H.
Chris Tavolacci received her education at William Rainey Harper College and graduated with high honors in 1987 with an Associates degree in Applied Science and Dental Hygiene. This program provided comprehensive training in periodontology, clinical skills, and the applications of microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, oral pathology and community care in dental hygiene. While in the dental hygiene program, Chris was president of her class and president of the Harper chapter of SADHA, Students of the American Dental Hygiene Association.

Chris has attended numerous continuing education courses since graduating and was certified by the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in the administration of local anesthesia in 2002.

Chris has been practicing clinical dental hygiene for 20 years and has been working with Dr. Hartmann for 15 years. She is married and has three sons. She enjoys reading, walking, and spending time with her wheaten terrier, Riley.

 

Delia Rocha Alvarado
Received an Associated Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Prairie State College in 2000. Attended UIC-Chicago and Morton College.

This is Delia's second major career having been a legal secretary for 15 years and then worked as a dental receptionist, dental assistant and for the last 7 years as a Dental Hygienist.

She is married, has 2 daughters and one granddaughter. Her home has been in Berwyn, Illinois since 1986.
